7/5/06
* Thank you everyone for coming out to play - it was much fun! Only one no-show and vast majority of folks were on time -
whoohoo!
* All matches completed except for mixed doubles semi and final, which will be played on Sunday 7/23, 11am,  at the Broomfield
courts.
* Scores have been posted in the DRAWs
* I will post pictures and recap of tournament by end of month. Quite a few new faces and some funny observations/stories to share.

6/30/06
*
DRAWs and match times are final, unless there are conflicts that I've yet to discover.
* Bring hats, chairs, sunscreen, and stuff (e.g. magazines) to keep you busy cause you may be there all day.
* Food and snacks will be available for purchase. Complimentary lunch will be provided to all players.
* Players should try to be there 15 minutes before match to give time for sign-in. This means 8am players need to show up at 7:45am
- sorry to ruin your beauty sleep!
* Remember - matches are played with a 9-game pro set. Finals have the option to play 2 out of 3 sets.
* Tip: if you are coming from Wadsworth BLVD, go W on Ralston/58th, expect to take 3 right turns while staying on Ralston. The
last right turn will be Miller St.
* We are budgeting 1hr per match so this is why it is important to be on time. Take less then 10 minutes  for warm up.
* Have fun!

6/29/06
* Registration is now FULL for all brackets. New registered or walk-in players can only be on standby to replace cancellations.

* The match times are shown. Need your help checking for conflict, especially on Sunday, where many are playing in two doubles
brackets. Check back Friday night to make sure final times.

* Double elimination is not possible on Sunday due to many people playing in two brackets.

* The match times are published.
IT IS CRITICAL FOR PLAYERS TO ARRIVE/SIGN-IN ON TIME or EARLY! If you
are late and forfiet, your oponent will not be happy they din't get to play.

* The road to get to the Arvada tennis center is very tricky. Please research before hand so you don't get lost and be late.

6/27/06
* I am starting to post the preliminary draws. Hope to get all of them posted by end of Wed. First basic idea here is to separate the
seeded players (based on the Asiaxpress tournament results from last Fall) in the early rounds. Secondly is to avoid relatives and
practice partners playing against each other in the early rounds. Therefore, if you have a valid reason to suggest a change in the draw,
email me by end of Thu.

* Check the draw schedules (to be posted) to see what time your bracket starts so you can show up at that time. This prevents
everyone from having to show up at 8am, unless you want to.

* If rain prevents us from completing the tournament on Sat and Sun, then the extended day will be on Tuesday, 7/4.

* If you haven't send in your payment, then just wait and pay during sign-in at the tournament day.

* Looks like round robin format will be possible for brackets with <= 6 players, not <8. Candidate brackets are Mens singles C,
Mens doubles C, juniors, and Womens singles A.

* Please remind your partners and people you sign up for that the tournament is this weekend.

* If you don't see an asterisk (*) next by your name that means you will need to pay the fees when you sign in..

6/15/06
* Deadline is coming up in 10 days, 6/24. I intend to generate the draws (names and match-ups) before the tournament day so that
you will know the time and who you'll be playing with. This is also to allow you to suggest changes to the draw in case if I happen to
pair you up with your brother, for example.

* We need to get more women players to sign up! Remind your friends, relatives, or people you know to register.

* Please send in payments if you haven't already done so.

* Brackets with fewer players (e.g. <8) will be round robin format.

* Brackets with many players may have consolation bracket (1st round loosers) if there is court availability.
